Katie L. Reger, PhD, LP
Dr. Reger is a pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation of children and adolescents to better understand how learning, attention, behavior, and emotional well-being relate to brain development and one’s ability to function in their environment. She has clinical training and expertise in diagnosing neurodevelopmental conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and learning disorders. Dr. Reger has unique experience in outpatient and inpatient settings working with individuals with neurologic conditions (especially epilepsy, but also spina bifida, hydrocephalus, brain tumor, tuberous sclerosis, and cerebral palsy), traumatic brain injury, prenatal exposure to substances, and prematurity. She has a specialized interest in executive functioning and how these skills can be developed to help individuals thrive. Her work focuses on understanding how these conditions impact brain development and may manifest as academic struggles, problems focusing, peer difficulties, poor self-esteem, anxiety, or oppositional behavior.
Families appreciate Dr. Reger’s personable and approachable style. Her openness and warmth set families at ease and create an environment where parents feel comfortable asking questions and collaborating in the evaluation.
In her free time, Dr. Reger loves spending time outdoors with her husband biking, golfing, boating, birding, and camping on the North Shore with their puppy, Porter. When the Minnesota weather does not cooperate, she also enjoys cooking at home, reading, doing puzzles, and watching comedy.
